The Hydronix SDC-25-4001 Replacement for Aqua Flo PPMB-1-40, 20-Pack water filter is widely used as pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters). This Hydronix 40&quot filter is ideal for a wide range of commercial, industrial, residential and food service applications. The graded density of this water filter cartridge provides higher dirt holding capacity over standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. This 2.5×40 inch sediment filter cartridge is adhesive free, binder free and surfactant free. The Hydronix SDC-25-4001 filter is tested and certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 42 for material requirements only. The 4 separate layers of micron filtration and the outside-in flow allows the outer layer of this sediment depth cartridge filter to trap larger sized particles, resulting in a lower pressure drop compared to conventional filters.
